As the name "Multipass" and the shape of the table imply, this is a multiplication table... but of Roman numerals:
I | V | X | L | C | D | M | |
I | I | V | X | L | C | D | M |
V | V | XXV | L | CCL | D | MMD | V̅ |
X | X | L | C | D | M | V̅ | X̅ |
L | L | CCL | D | MMD | V̅ | X̅X̅V̅ | L̅ |
C | C | D | M | V̅ | X̅ | L̅ | C̅ |
D | D | MMD | V̅ | X̅X̅V̅ | L̅ | C̅C̅L̅ | D̅ |
M | M | V̅ | X̅ | L̅ | C̅ | D̅ | M̅ |
Once the shapes have been matched to letters, the five shapes on the front can be read, giving the answer CIVIC.
The answer was originally going to be "Use between CIVIC and DMV", since the Walnut Creek DMV is rather close to Civic Park, but we got squeamish about placing a clue next to a government building, and Civic Park had much better parking.
