There were no hints for this puzzle. Teams had to give their answers to Ian after the match was over.

Solution: The six letter pairs (CH FI JO LM VI VO) can be mixed and matched to form JOVOVICH FILM. Milla Jovovich, who played Leeloo, has starred in a number of other movies, but only the title of her most recent movie at the time, ULTRAVIOLET, fit the fluorescent mechanism of the clue particularly well. (Upon Red 5's suggestion, we also accepted PARADISE, seeing as how this was Fhloston Paradise, after all!) XX-Rated cleverly short-circuited this puzzle by using the black light of an air hockey table to read their arms (and those of other teams) before the laser tag game started.

The fastest way to earn points in Q-Zar is to enter the other side's base and "hit" it by shooting two or three laser beams up into a small aperture. This is difficult to do if members of the opposing team are present and have any say in the matter. I correctly predicted that, under our strange rules, at least some players would assist their opposite-teammates in arranging hits on their own base, much to the annoyance of some players. Despite my warning in the directions, there was apparently also a great deal of standing in one place and shooting teammates (a sub-optimal strategy in that this makes both players sitting ducks, and being shot by other teams hurts you more than shooting a teammate helps you.) Many players followed the normal rules and had a perfectly good time doing that.

The crack shooters were coed astronomy, Snout, and, with a perfect score, Specializing in Malpractice (who undoubtedly have had practice using lasers in a misanthropic way).
